Exporting Reports
Our Student Progress, Skill Progress, Diagnostic Results Overview, Diagnostic Results by Skill, and Assessment History reports are all exportable to spreadsheet formats! If you'd like to explore more options for sorting, filtering, formatting, and sharing report data than Roadmaps provides, try exporting these reports and manipulating the data in your spreadsheet software.
Exporting the Student Progress Report
Before exporting the Student Progress report, check your filters! Any global filters or display settings that you apply to the Student Progress report will also be applied to the exported file.
You may notice a bug in the Student Progress report export that includes columns for Skill Strand and Skill Grade Level - our tech team is aware of this issue and is actively working to fix it.
Exporting the Skill Progress Report
You may notice a couple of extra columns in the exported Skill Progress report: skill Strands and skill Grade Level. You can filter on these values in the Roadmaps version of the report, but in order to ensure that you can continue to filter and sort by these values when you export it, we've included these columns in the exported report.
Exporting the Diagnostic Results Overview Report
For the Diagnostic Results Overview report, the exported CSV file has the following column headers:
- Student name
- Overall number of skills placed out on the diagnostic in the selected window and on the selected ladder
- Number of Number Sense skills placed out
- Number of Geometry skills placed out
- Number of Algebraic Thinking skills placed out
- Number of Functions skills placed out
- Number of Statistics & Probability skills placed out
All of the exported data will be filtered by any applied global filters or display settings, including which ladder you've selected. To read more about the
Exporting the Diagnostic Results by Skill Report
Given that the Diagnostic Results by Skill Report allows you to click into the highlighted numbers in the Ready For and Placed Out columns, you may find that this report is actually easier to manipulate in the Roadmaps platform than it is in Excel.
Exported Diagnostic Results by Skill reports will also include columns for skill grade level and skill strand. You can filter on these values in the Roadmaps version of the report, but in order to ensure that you can continue to filter and sort by these values when you export it, we've included these columns in the exported report.
Exporting the Assessment History Report
The biggest difference between viewing an exported version of the Assessment History report and viewing it in the Roadmaps platform is the way that results are displayed. In the export, the Score column shows the number of points a student received on a given assessment, the max_score column shows the number of points a student could have earned on a given assessment, and the percent_correct column shows the student's score on a given assessment out of 100. This reports the same information as the Result column in the report in the Roadmaps platform.
