How Can I See Students' Progress?

To monitor students' progress, simply select Reports > Student Progress.  Once on the Student Progress page, you will be able to view different types of data per student. Clicking on a student name or a data point will open a pop-up modal on the screen, showing the relevant information.

You can use the Global Filters as well as the specific report filters at the top of the page to view information directly on the portal, or you can select Export Data (top right) to download a CSV version of the report. Data Key

  • Placed Out - number/percentage of skills the student placed out of for the selected ladder
  • Completed - number/percentage of skills the student completed on the selected ladder
  • Remaining - number/percentage of skills the student has remaining on the selected ladder
  • Skills studied - number of skills on the selected ladder for which the student has clicked on a lesson/activity but has NOT attempted an assessment for (note - this is always an integer - never a percentage even if the user selected percent display in the display bar)
  • Skills assessed - number of skills on the selected ladder for which the student has attempted an assessment for (note - this is always an integer - never a percentage even if the user selected percent display in the display bar)
  • Total Assessments - total number of assessments relevant to the selected ladder the student has attempted (note - this is always an integer - never a percentage even if the user selected percent display in the display bar)
  • Skills Completed - number of skills on the selected ladder for which the student has completed the skill (note - this is always an integer - never a percentage even if the user selected percent display in the display bar)

Modals

Selecting a student name will show the student's profile as a pop-up modal. Clicking on a data point (percentage or skill count number) will show a pop-up modal containing the skill cards for the relevant skills, based on the selected ladder.

Another way to see an individual student's progress is by selecting the "View Profile" option in the dropdown of a student card. You can then click on the Tasks tab at the top and view the skills that display on that student's homepage. You can also view a student's Progress Map on the Progress tab of their profile, which also displays an interactive donut chart to track historical progress on Roadmaps skills.
