Administrators: Enabling "manual complete" for students

You have a classroom full of students who just took an on-paper quiz about factoring expressions, and even though none of them have passed that skill in Roadmaps yet, many of them show that they understand the material. Perhaps your classroom assistant comes over to let you know that after walking through a lesson with a student, the student showed a firm grasp of adding negative numbers even though they have not passed the exit slip on that skill yet. What to do?

There is a setting available to Site and District Administrators called Manual Complete. Enabling this setting allows students to check a box on their skill card that marks that skill as complete. Skills that have been checked can be unchecked, too. This setting is disabled by default, based on feedback from our school partners.

To change this setting, simply navigate to the Manage tab and click the Permissions option under Settings in the left navigation panel. You can then find the school that you'd like to change the setting for (if you have access to multiple schools), and check or uncheck the box for "Enable manual complete for plus students."

If the setting is enabled for a given school, students at that school will see the following option on the skill cards for their Remaining skills. If the setting is not enabled, no such checkbox will appear.

If your school has this setting turned on, teachers and administrators will not have the ability to manually complete skills on a student's behalf. If the setting is enabled, they can do so - the skill card below displays the teacher's view of the "manual complete" behavior.
