Accessing Your Lessons and Taking Assessments

How To Access Your Lessons

There are multiple ways to access your lessons!  One way is through your Homepage. Once you login, you will see two different categories: Teacher Assigned Skills and Recommended Skills for Your (__ Grade or Algebra) Roadmap, simply click on the skill you want to work on.  Another way to access lessons is by navigating to the Skills tab.  In this view, you have the ability to select from more skills.  Once you have identified the skill to work on, click on it.

The next window will pop-up on the Get Started section.  In this section, watch an Introductory Video to begin learning about the skill.  There are also Sample Questions you can try which are similar to the questions that will be on your assessment. There are three sample questions that start easy and get harder as you go.  These questions are not graded, they are just for you to get a preview of what is to come when you’re ready to take your assessment!

The next step is to visit the Keep Learning section.  This section provides you with lesson links, practice questions, vocabulary, and additional resources - like games and articles.  If you like any of the resources, you can press the thumbs-up Like button to let us know!

Taking Assessments

When you’re ready to take your assessment, select Take Assessment.

There are accessibility tools available on the right hand side, and in the usual Accessibility Toolbar. You may also use the available full screen and notepad features.

When you have finished answering a question, hit Next to answer the next question. You may also click Save & Exit to save your progress and leave the assessment player at any time. Once you have answered all questions, click Review & Submit to check your answers and submit your assessment to be graded.

When you’re done taking your assessment you can return to the Homepage, the Skill Resources page or Request Help from your teacher.

To get back to answer the Essential Question under the Reflect tab, select Go To Skill Resource.  Answering this question can help you make connections between what you just learned and what you already know.  Your answer to this question is not graded, but you can press save so that you can look back at your response(s) another time or show your teacher.
