Cancelling Diagnostics

The Initial Diagnostic in Roadmaps is an essential tool for determining the best path for your students. Any diagnostics that follow, such as a retake, interim or grade-change Diagnostic are used to update that path. You have the option to cancel some Diagnostic types that were perhaps assigned in error, or are no longer desired by the teacher.

Only the following types of diagnostics may be cancelled by a teacher:

• Initial Diagnostic Retake
• Interim Diagnostic
• Interim Diagnostic Retake
• Grade Change Diagnostic

Cancelling Individual Diagnostics

To cancel a single student's diagnostic, simply navigate to the student card on your Students page and select the down arrow on the top right corner. If the student has a cancellable diagnostic, you will see the option "Cancel Retake", "Cancel Interim Diagnostic", or "Cancel Grade Change" in the dropdown menu. Once you click the option to cancel, the platform will refresh and cancel the student's diagnostic, allowing them to continue to work on their roadmap. If a grade change diagnostic is cancelled, the student will be returned to their previous grade.

Bulk Cancelling Diagnostics

If you would like to cancel multiple students' diagnostics as once, select students using the checkbox in the upper left corner of their student cards. Then, using the menu in the bottom bar that pops up, you can select "Cancel Diagnostics". If this option does not appear, it may mean that at least one of the students you selected does not have a cancellable diagnostic.
