Redesigned Collaborative Materials 2024
We have added new, redesigned collaborative activities to Roadmaps. If you are looking for an opportunity to get your students working in pairs or small groups, these activities could be just the thing! You can find these activities under the Lessons or Resources section on a skill page.
Our goal is to develop a new, more effective format for Collaborative activities with your feedback. (Our current collaborative activities take the form Peer to Peer and Small Group Collaborative lessons.) Here is an overview of the shifts we made:
- These lessons are shorter and more accessible.
- They are less text heavy, so students spend less time reading about the problem and more time thinking about it.
- They include a teacher guide which includes:
- A routine you can use with students to get them started.
- Probing and summarizing questions to help students think more deeply and identify key takeaways.
- An exemplar solution.
These lessons are BETA content, as we are still refining the design. We would love your feedback on them. If you use one of these lessons, we will send you a short survey asking about how it went. Please be candid, your feedback will help us improve these lessons and our designs going forward.
Here are links to the student and teacher facing materials for all of our redesigned collaborative activities. You can also find them in the skill resources with the label “BETA content.”
