How to Roster for your Class: Step by Step

As a student, it’s important to know how to roster for your class. This section will walk you through the steps to enter a class code provided by your teacher, verify your account, and successfully join your class.

  1. Access the rostering Website
  1. Enter the class code
  • On the Join Class page, enter your class code in the code field.
  • Click the Join button to proceed.
  1. Verify your class
  • If the class code you entered is correct, you will see a message based on the code you entered.
    • If the code you entered is incorrect, you will see the message, “We couldn't find a class matching that code. Please try again" and you will be prompted to try again.
    • If after entering the code again and you receive the “That class code is not valid” message, ask your teacher for help.
  • If you entered the correct code, you should see a pop up, where you can confirm your teacher's name, class name, and school name.
    • If these details are correct, click "Yes! Enroll me."
    • If these details don't look right, click, "Oops! That's not my class" and you will be directed back to the join screen to enter a different code.
  1. Log in to your account, if you have one!
  • Enter your email address, or log in with Clever or Google or Microsoft
  • If your account is found, you will be prompted to enter your password
    • Once you enter your correct password, you will be prompted to verify or update your grade level
  • Option 1: You will be directed to your homepage if you are already enrolled in another class.
  • Option 2: If you are not already enrolled in another active class, then you will see a waiting page until your teacher approves your enrollment; then you will be directed to your homepage.
  1. Create a new account, if you don't have one!
  • If you tried to log in with Clever, Google, or Microsoft, and Roadmaps didn't find a connected account, you will be directed to a page where you can enter your information (first name, last name, and grade level) and create a new account.
  • If you attempted to log in with an email address and no account was found, you have 2 options: Re-enter your email address and go back to step 4, or create a new account.
    • If you choose “Create New Account,” you will be directed to a student information page
    • Provide the required information (name, email address, password, and grade level), and then click Go.
  • Once you have successfully completed the registration process, you will receive notification that your request to join your teacher's class has been received!
  1. Approval
  • If you are creating a new account, you will receive an email indicating your account has been approved.
  • If you have an existing account, your screen will auto refresh and you will be sent to your Dashboard once you are approved.
